Within Car Sales, we work on the end-to-end online vehicle sales journey – from car discovery and configuration to dealer-facing sales and inventory tools. Our mission is to make this experience more transparent, scalable, and data driven for customers around the world.

As a Backend Engineer, you’ll work on systems used across the Porsche sales ecosystem. Together with product managers and fellow engineers, you’ll design, build, and maintain features end-to-end with a strong focus on clean architecture, performance, and long-term maintainability. And while your work will happen behind the scenes, its impact will reach all the way to one of life's most exciting moments: buying a Porsche.
Who are we looking for?
Qualifications & Experience
- 4+ years of experience in backend with Typescript
- good understanding of software architecture and design patterns
- good understanding of automated testing
- good understanding of databases (experience with DynamoDB is a plus)
- good understanding of CI/CD
- experience with Git version control
- experience with Kafka and/or other distributed messaging systems
- basic knowledge or willingness to work on frontend development (experience with React and Node.js is a plus)
- understanding of REST API principles
- experience with setting up monitoring tools
- good understanding of security principles (authentication and authorization, OAuth2, encryption)
- good communication & presentation skills
- experience with Agile or hybrid development methodologies
- strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- ability to work independently and collaboratively in a development team
- fluency in English
Your responsibilities
- planning, development, deployment, and maintenance of various software solutions
- defining tasks and providing time estimates
- writing clean, maintainable code and testing it
- rolling out new features
- collaborating with Product Owners, stakeholders, and other teams within the organization
- being able to present your solutions in front of stakeholders and/or a group of colleagues
- proactively communicating with other team members and project stakeholders
- participating in code reviews, pairing, and other forms of knowledge sharing
- continually improving your skills and push others to go forward with their knowledge
- working in a cross-functional team
Salary Range
MID: 2000-4000 € gross
SENIOR: 4000-5500 € gross
