As a DevOps Engineer in our MySystem team, you’d be part of the group that enables Porsche’s software development community to build and run scalable, reliable applications with high availability. This mission is what made MySystem the go-to team for guidance and support, as well as a trusted authority on cloud security and best practices.

It also puts the team in a unique position to push boundaries, continuously improve how things are done, and automate processes where possible to help decrease time to market.

Who are we looking for?

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience with at least one cloud provider (preferably AWS) 
  • experience with at least 1 programming language (Python or TypeScript preferred) 
  • proficiency in shell scripting 
  • understanding how APIs are structured (JSON, HTTP/HTTPs, GET, POST, PUT etc.) 
  • good understanding of databases 
  • experience with designing and implementing CI/CD processes and version control 
  • experience with implementing logging, monitoring and alerting solutions 
  • extensive experience with at least one IaC tool (Terraform, CloudFormation etc.) 
  • extensive experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes etc.) 
  • good troubleshooting skills 
  • good knowledge of backup strategies, high availability, disaster recovery and security practices 
  • experience with implementing scalable cloud infrastructure  
  • basic understanding of security practices 
  • good communication & presentation skills 

Your responsibilities

  • deploying and maintaining various software solutions 
  • defining tasks and giving time estimates 
  • writing clean, maintainable code and testing it (with focus on Bash and Python) 
  • collaborating and communicating with stakeholders and the product team 
  • being able to present your solutions in front of stakeholders and/or a group of colleagues 
  • proactively communicating with other team members and stakeholders 
  • using agile methodologies in development (if you don’t know them yet, we will teach you) 
  • participating in code reviews, pairing, and other forms of knowledge-sharing 
  • continually improving your skills and pushing others to expand their knowledge 
  • working in a cross-functional team
